What Is The Master Cleanser?

The original Master Cleanser recipe was first developed in 1941 to treat stomach ulcers by alternative health practitioner Stanley Burroughs (1903-1991).

Stanley Burroughs presented the idea in his book, “The Master Cleanser” in 1976 which was well accepted by health-conscious consumers who are interested in flushing their body of deadly toxins.

The Master Cleanse diet then was also used for weight loss. Even with its popularity, Stanley Burroughs never did went back to revise the Master Cleanser which is disorganized and difficult to comprehend.

Burroughs promoted a number of alternative practices beyond the Master Cleanser, including light therapy, deep massage, and reflexology, and he was a vegetarian.
